What began as a protest against one tragedy has grown into a mass movement demanding transparency, accountability and democratic change.
In Strasbourg, we welcomed a group of brave cyclists who completed an incredible tour of more than 1,400 km through 6 countries! From Novi Sad they started with a clear message: justice, democracy and truth for Serbia! Their journey is not just a physical challenge, but a symbol of the struggle for a better and fairer future. We met this inspiring team, these 'some new kids' who refuse to remain silent and who are not afraid of a regime based on intimidation and corruption.
Today we stood with students who refuse to remain silent in the face of corruption, media manipulation and the complete lack of political responsibility in Serbia. We listened to their demands and took up their letter which we will personally deliver to the President of the EP, Roberta Metsola, after 600,000 people peacefully took to the streets in March. The authorities responded with sound cannons, trying to stifle demands for justice and dignity, but students and citizens of Serbia are not giving up.
