Finance and transparency

Gordan Bosanac

Each Member of the European Parliament receives a gross monthly salary of €10,927, which amounts to €8,517 net after deductions. I personally donate more than half of my salary (€4,500 each month) to my party Možemo! to support its growth and development.

Each Member receives a daily allowance of €350 as a lump sum to cover accommodation, meals, and related expenses during official workdays. If an MEP, even after signing the attendance register, misses more than half of the roll-call votes on a voting day, the allowance is reduced by half. For meetings held outside the EU, the allowance is also halved.

For the work of Members’ offices, each deputy receives a General Expenditure Allowance (GEA) of €4,950 per month. This allowance is intended to cover costs such as renting an office in a Member State, IT hardware and software, office supplies, mobile phones and subscriptions. The amount was set in January 2024 and may be adjusted annually by decision of the European Parliament’s Presidency. Together with my colleagues from the Greens/EFA Group, I have committed to carrying out a voluntary annual audit of my GEA expenses and publishing the results to ensure they are accessible to the public.

Audit for the period from 15 July 2024 to 15 July 2025

Total paid by the EP: 61,875.00 EUR.
Total spent: 41,985.86 euros.
