Delegation for relations with Japan (full member)

The Delegation for Relations with Japan (D-JP) is one of the official delegations of the European Parliament that maintains and strengthens relations between the EU and Japan. Its main task is political dialogue and cooperation with the Japanese parliament and monitoring and discussion on key issues of bilateral relations.

Delegation to the EU-North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee (alternate member)

The EU-North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MK) brings together members of the European Parliament and representatives of the Parliament of Northern Macedonia and serves as a platform for exchanging views on key political, economic and social challenges.

Delegation for relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, including the EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee and the EU-Kosovo Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (alternate member)

Izaslanstvo za odnose s Bosnom i Hercegovinom te Kosovom (D-BA/KOS) jedno je od izaslanstava Europskog parlamenta zaduženo za održavanje i jačanje političkih odnosa s BiH i Kosovom. Osim toga, članovi ovog izaslanstva sudjeluju u radu dvaju parlamentarnih odbora: Parlamentarnog odbora EU-a i Bosne i Hercegovine za stabilizaciju i pridruživanje (SAPC EU-BiH) te Parlamentarnog odbora EU-a i Kosova za stabilizaciju i pridruživanje (SAPC EU-Kosovo). Glavne zadaće izaslanstva su politički dijalog o reformama i europskim integracijama, praćenje procesa pristupanja, podrška reformama te podrška regionalnoj stabilnost i suradnji. 

Letters and questions to the European Commission

MEPs send questions and letters to the European Commission in order to exercise democratic oversight of its work and represent the interests of citizens. We ask them for information, clarification and accountability in relation to the violation of rights, the enforcement of legislation or the use of EU funds. Through formal parliamentary questions (written or oral) to which the Commission has to answer, open letters often signed by several MEPs and made public, and direct letters to the Commission with specific requests - the European Parliament ensures the transparency, accountability and democratic functioning of the EU institutions.
