The plenary session on 12-13 November included votes on the Strategy for Gender Equality
The European Parliament has adopted a report with clear objectives to promote women's rights and gender equality!
⏩ Despite the constant obstruction of conservative and far-right MEPs who have tried to weaken the text and block progressive proposals, progressive forces in the European Parliament have managed to secure a strong and clear position fighting for the future of women and girls in Europe.

What does the European Parliament say?
It is time to enact concrete laws to combat gender-based violence, empower women in the workplace, protect sexual and reproductive rights, and strengthen the security of human rights organisations.
🤗 In this report, progressive lawmakers not only defended women's rights, but also provided concrete guidelines to end violence and discrimination at all levels.
Parliament is now demanding that the European Commission recognises the high standards set by these guidelines and step up its efforts to strengthen gender equality.
The only true democracy is one in which everyone has an equal voice and equal opportunity.
