OUR HEALTH
Large farms in South America use pesticides and hormones banned in the European Union, animals are often raised in poor conditions and have less regulated labor rights than in the EU. The agreement does not impose mechanisms for checking the quality of food.
PLANET
Transport and production of meat and soybeans will cause additional deforestation of the rainforest, estimates say about a million football pitches each year and additional amounts of CO2, which runs counter to the goals of the Paris Agreement.
